New Term - New Duties
Today was the first day back at work for 2007, & a whole new regime for me, now that I'll be working 6 hours a day 5 days a week. No more sleep ins during the week now. I've been roped in to help out in the school office, while a staff member is on sick leave. I was a bit nervous at first, but thanks to the rest of the office staff I was able to settle in & cope with all the new stuff. I have one other 'non office' duty to perform - a very important one for the rest of the staff - that of setting up the morning tea. Other staff members were on hand to help me out, & when I went back to clean up another kind person had done it for me. Fantastic people. Still having physio for the neck & shoulders after work, so I'll be getting home a lot later in the day than I've been used to. But it's all good. Tomorrow I need to try & fit my ancillary work in with the teachers' requirements, & that could be tricky. Today was Lucy's first day at College, but I never saw her until school had finished. She seemed happy, & was off to soccer practise for the elite squad straight off! Philip is in for the biggest change though. He'll be either totally lost or getting to grips with boarding school right now at Rotorua Boys' High, & Janine will be trying not to think about it.
